Any civilised and sane person who no longer hails the call of wee voices in the middle of the night should still be asleep.  Here I am so what does that say.   It say's that I have the weekend off and the sheer excitement of it all made me pop out of bed with a smile.

Good morning DMLM.

Yeah...so what does that say about us...??? I tossed and turned and turned and tossed since 4am. I finally said pith on it and I got up.

Good morning back to you and all those who follow.

Good morning.  Tyler started with a fever last night.  It was 102.5 this morning & is complaining of a headache & tummy ache.  Usually I try to let the fever do it's job, but w/ H1N1 I hear it just keeps going up (not saying that's what it is, but of course that's my fear).  So, I gave him Motrin for comfort & will be calling the ped. this a.m. since the tamiflu only works for the first 48 hours of fever onset.  This just sucks.  Part of me just wants us all to get it & get over it & not have to fear it anymore, but of course, I'm ready for the part of that where we're all already better & don't have to worry about all the stuff to be scared about.  Nothing I can do now though, so here I am while he watches cartoons.  Think I'll try to keep him in my room to keep him away from Zachary, though I'm sure he's already been exposed to whatever it is.

Hope Tyler is ok, Becca.

I hear you, Koby.  Don't want to be up this early!!!  Had a couple of drinks last night.  Have a feeling that's why my eyes popped open after 6 hours.  Feel fine, but full of early energy.  I should go sweat-it-out at the gym.

Coco, rainbows and sunshine for breakfast this morning???

Went out last night with a friend and having some neighbors for dinner tonight.  Should be a decent weekend.  Hoping so.

Enjoy your weekend!~

Think I'm headed out to a couple of Grosse Pointish mom2moms. I only have this week and next before I'm "shut down" until after the holidays.

Rebbecca, yes you want to keep your radar up but there are SO many virus' out there right now. Either way, hope he's feeling better soon.

Good morning all.  The evil sinus headache that had me in bed at 9 is gone (for now anyway).  I really hate those!!  One I had yesterday was making my eyes hurt.  My head and ears are kinda stuffy this morning.  Oh goody!!  Here's hoping it doesn't end up too much worse.

Becca I hope Tyler feels better

Yes actually.  If you don't want to sit home and clean could you come and clean over here?

howdie.  got to bed slightly shy of 1am (needed to wash boy child's hockey uniforms, two more games today and it sucks to wear wet hockey stuff it's like putting on a wet bathing suit).  For whatever reason, I decided to sleep with the comforter completely rolled around me like a middle-aged burrito.  the problem, tho, is that I slept on my stomach and my knee was resting on part of the balled-up comforter and so my leg was essentially dangling downward from my knee.  So I was kinda hyper-extending my knee while sleeping and now it really feels, well, like it's on the body of a middle-aged burrito.

Hey, Becca, that sounds like the flu all right.  REMEMBER IT IS THE FLU, all that H1N1 means is the strain of flu virus, but it is the flu the flu the flu.  You don't (and can't, frankly) do anything other than what you'd normally do when one of you comes down with the flu  -- try to keep the temp from spiking too high but realize that the fever is your body's way to burn those bugs right outta your system; hydrate hydrate hydrate, little chips of ice are best especially if vomiting makes it hard to keep down a whole cup of tea; and don't lick the sick person

you should always look like you smell nice

Me: "Yes."

Yes Shaari not licking the sick person is the most important part <snort>

I suppose with the flu you shouldn't bite or kiss either

Hydrating is best.  All the bad cases I've heard of are because the person became so severely dehydrated.  Hugs & smooches Becca!!
