my absolute favorite thing in the Lost and Found bin is winter coats . . . who forgets their winter coat?

really darling, we're not laughing AT you, we're laughing with you.  Here, teach your kids to tell you "I forget" in American Sign Language :)

That is why we switched to good old paper lunch bags.  If disposable winter coats and boots had been available they would have had those also.  Yes a brand new winter coat was left behind as were 26.5 pair of mittens.  The mittens I got smart with by buying cheap and all the same color.

and hey, Joy? EVERY kid (heck, even hubby) forgets carp.  The fact is, you've been homeschooling so frankly your kids have never had the opportunity to leave their stuff in the wrong place because you've always been with them everywhere, right?  Learning how to not forget your stuff is a valuable life skill that maybe we can teach our hubbies (snark snark)

Maybe we can teach a class:  "Not forgeting your stuff 101" . . . Prereq "Recognizing your stuff 095"  Once you've passed "Not forgetting your stuff 101" you can move on to "Putting your stuff where it belongs 201"  with required labs "Finding your own closet"  "Where do my dirty clothes go"  . . . and let's not forget graduate work "Juic Boxes go in the garbage not under the seats of the van 560"

DD is pretty good with lunch boxes - we generally get a couple of years of use out of them.

Don't forget about pop tarts and where their wrappers go.  Oh and exactly where to put your dirty underwear and sock.  Oh and wait if the milk is expired dump it out!!  I'm sure I'm forgetting some but I may remember more later.  They are too numerous to count....oh wait I got another one....when the soap is just a sliver put a new bar in the shower (this one directed at DH)!!
